Cranburne Gardens indigenous area

As part of our history unit, we are looking into Indigenous Culture. To help with our research, we went to Cranbourne Gardens. We had so much fun at  Cranbourne Gardens. We did activities relating to or did indigenous culture. It was really fun my favourite activity was the activity with tools. The tools were very cool my favourite with the spear. it was really fun.

They had an indigenous animal there called the bandicoot, which we were lucky enough to see.

Another lesson we did was about food. My favourite food was lemon myrtle sadly we didn’t get to try any of the indigenous foods, but it was really good to see and smell them. It’s really good my favourite is a biscuits that have lemon myrtle and then they taste amazingly good.

The final lesson we did was about indigenous art and the rock paintings in caves we got to use some of the special clay they used. In the rock paintings it was so fun to do for our own little stories on the rock, and put our hand print on a rock. The special clay they use is called ocer That’s my best attempt at spelling and I’m not sure how to spell it.

In final it was really fun at Cranbourne Gardens. I really loved it ,and  have you ever been to a place like Cranbourne Gardens, or done excursion to Cranburne Gardens to learn about indigenous artefacts.
